SecureReady is the first-of-its-kind program that leverages all aspects of the MetaFarms Ag Platform such as PremiseIDs, real-time inventory, movements and digital bio-security audits to facilitate and fast-track producers' preparedness for a disease outbreak. This unique program allosw for collaboration with the National Pork Board's Secure Pork Supply (SPS) plan as well as with state veterinarians.

Quick access to complete data is vital to the ability
to move pigs. The National Pork Board is developing an SPS plan to enhance communication and coordination, accelerate a successful FAD response and support continuity of operations for pork producers. This is a collaborative effort between National Pork Producers Council, National Pork Board, American Association of Swine Veterinarians, states and USDA/APHIS. The SPS is a business continuity plan producers are able to enroll prior to an outbreak to allow them to be back in business faster than those who are not prepared. The goal of the SPS plan is to develop procedures that pork producers, processors, and federal and state officials all agree are feasible to allow for safe movement of animals from farms in an FAD control area to harvest channels or other production sites, as long as they have no evidence of the disease. |
